In today's episode of WaveCast, host Eugenie Jacobsen plunges into the depths of the coastal ocean and seafloor around the island of Newfoundland.

Our first guest is Sarah Walsh, a geomatics specialist and Marine Institute alumna. Sarah shares her educational background, her path to studying marine science, and delves into her current projects with the Centre for Applied Ocean Technology.

Next, Eugenie sat down with Dr. Jonathan Fisher, an associate professor and research chair in marine fisheries ecosystems dynamics. Dr. Fisher talks about his journey into marine science and his involvement in the Marine Conservation Area project off the coast of Newfoundland. He also provides excellent advice for students entering the field of marine science and insights into research opportunities for graduate students.
